Typical of almost any city in Korea, Gwangju’s weather is well known for pleasantly warm summers and temperate winters. Humidity stays generally high all year round, and sunshine is abundant. Summers run from June to September, with temperature averaging around 25 °C. Winters last from November to February, with an average temperature around 3 °C. Snowfall is not uncommon. Gwangju is good to visit throughout the year thanks to its pleasant weather.
