As the capital of the Veneto region in the north of Italy, the city spreads across 118 islands that are separated by canals. The islands are connected to each other by various bridges. There are various city tours offered in this canal. The Grand Canal is also the gateway to the Venetian Lagoon, another World Heritage Site.
The main international airport serving the city is Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), which is located 4.9 miles of the city. An average taxi ride from the airport to Downtown Venice should cost about 326 HKD. Venice’s climate is characterised by moderately cool winters and hot summers, with rainfall spreading throughout the year. In summers, temperatures average around 23.0 °C. In winter, temperatures average around 5 °C. the coldest month of the year is January.
