Sandancer nice and cheap
Fang, The Taiwan receptionist is lovely. She recommend to visit her own countries. And I recommande the backpack hostel. The staff is lovely and helpuf if u need something. Near from everything in town like bakery bus shop and bar. Or sunset with beach view sweet place

Nice place but rooms lacking
The hostel is a pretty good place for solo or group travellers looking to meet other travellers in the fremantle city area. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is plenty to do in the common area downstairs.
The room however was not so great. We had a private double in order to get over our jet lag and can't really say that it helped. It was pretty noisey up until 2/3am and the WiFi seemed to stop working at around midnight meaning there was nothing to do other than listen if you were trying to sleep.
The rooms also need a bit of renovation : bin, mirror, coat hook, table and a fresh mattress comes to mind. With a spruce up it could be a great little spot but for a couple looking for a bit of peace and quiet it isn't really suitable at the minute.

Great place to stay
This hostel is a fantastic place to stay, with a pool, good people and clean rooms, some of which have recently been renovated. It has a spacious outdoor area aswell as a larger communal inside area. It's welcoming and comfortable. Check it out if you're ever in Fremantle!

Below Average
I stayed here for 2 nights about a week ago. The staff here were really nice and helpful though at times they appeared to be in need of a little help. The common area is massive. There are plenty of places to socialise or just chill by yourself. The kitchen is also big although we didn't use it's facilities.
The room was a major letdown though. There was no rubbish bin in the room. No mirror. No lockers. Just a fan and some uncomfortable bunk beds. It was really as basic as basic could get. The bathroom wasn't much better. I could barely move in the tiny shower cubicles. However, they were never fully occupied.
This could be a really good hostel if they renovated the rooms. There's free wifi and a spacious common area. The other facilities are below average though.

Great, low-key hostel.
Sundancer is probably the most low-key hostel in Fremantle and it is awesome. Everyone there is so chill and the staff is so helpful. This is definitely the place to stay if you are looking for a cheaper option that will still allow you to meet dome really cool people while living in the middle of Fremantle.
I docked one star because the kitchen is sometimes a pretty big mess and the pool wasn't open when I was there. Otherwise it is a really legit hostel.
