The wonderful Hotel Madrisa
We stayed in the Madrisa hotel in late January 2026 for a weeks skiing. It was a wonderful week. Apart from teh skiing in Gargellen and Montafon being excellent, the hotel really delivered. The welcome, the service, the quality of the hotel room, and the facilities (swimming pool, sauna, fireside bar etc) were all excellent. The hotel is a traditional, beautiful and very comfortable building. Especially excellent was the food (half board). A truly delicious, fine dining, 5 course evening meal, and a superb breakfast. One of our very favourite hotels and i strongly recommend it. Terry Scanlan Poole England

Skiing as it was.
Not my first visit but yet again a fabulous week of superb dining, afternoons in the spa, evenings around the bar. A traditional Austrian hotel in the hidden valley of Gargellen. A quiet mountain resort with hidden delights that are not initially obvious. No queues, old mountain huts for eating and drinking and an efficient lift complex.

Excellent Service, Perfect Breakfast and World-Class Dinner
We have been able to enjoy a fantastic stay at hotel Madrisa in Gargellen Austria last week. Service is sublime there. The staff does their best to make the guests feel at home. This and the fact that an exceptionally good and versatile breakfast is served alongside a daily 5 course menu (in the evening) of excellent quality and versatility, has made our stay an absolute feast.

MADRISA THE DREAM
As since 1978 year of our first stay
It is always a pleasure to find this hotel nestled at the foot of the MADRISA and almost backed by the charming little bulbous church
The RHOMBERG family has always had a sense of hospitality and its know-how has not wavered over the years
The rooms are very spacious and quiet
The breakfast buffet is bloated and there is something for every sweet savoury taste ideal before a beautiful day of skiing
Ski lifts are not far away and even accessible ski-in ski-out if sufficient snow is available
The evening meal is always very fine and varied
Once a week GALA dinner with its 7 courses and the following day buffet of desserts each more succulent than the other
Like the RHOMBERG family, the staff of the entire hotel is friendly and always ready to help
Ideal host for family stays as well as stays for lovers
Beautiful indoor swimming pool of comfortable dimensions that allows as much paddling as swimming really
Beautiful fitness room very well equipped bicycle weight mat rowing espalier
In short a dream stay to recommend to all those who will appreciate authenticity simplicity and preserved nature

Super nice hotel
Super nice staff, food is delicious and great consideration is given to allergies etc. Room service is also great and the rooms beautiful.
Only the way to the ski lift is a bit exhausting but quite feasible and worth the experience:)
