A pleasant stay
Arriving at Haus Berta we were a bit confused by the protocol with a fellow guest handing us our room key and phoning the owner for us.
After 10/20 minutes she arrived and we paid for the night.
The room was comfy, warm and spacious. Parking was fine.
Although classed as a B&B there isn't breakfast provided but there are full kitchen facilities for those who require them.
The walk into the town centre is about 15 minutes and is fairly straight.
We had a good meal in one of the hotels and some excellent beers.
On the Wednesday morning we walked into town to get some breakfast and ended up buying it amongst the hustle and bustle of the market.
Braunau am Inn was very pleasant and I would have no problems in returning.

besseres Hostel, für Kurzbesuch ohne Anspruch
Zu den Zimmern:
2 Etagen, kein Fahrstuhl, schlechte Beleuchtung im Treppengang und 1. Etage, alle Zimmer verfügen über Rolläden und verdunkeln somit komplett; leider funktionierte das eigene WLAN Netz überhaupt nicht, nur Fehlermeldungen.
Es gibt div. Zimmergrößen, alles wenigstens als Doppelzimmer mit Einzelbetten, die Bäder sind sehr unterschiedlich - von Toilette und Dusche (mit vernünftigem Vorhang) bis hin zu offener Dusche (Dusche direkt im Flur) ohne Abtrennung hinzu Bädern ohne Dusche, nur mit Badewanne. Der Charakter ist sehr urig, leider aber auch vom Charme her. Es ist alles mit Holz getäfelt, es ist ein besseres Hostel, denn in der Küche in der 1. Etage darf lediglich erwärmt werden, aber nicht gekocht werden. Der Fussboden im Obergeschoss knarrt an allen Ecken und Enden, leise sein fällt sehr schwer..Alles in allem - die Innenausstattung ist sanierungsbedürftig, es empfiehlt sich für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ohne große Ansprüche.
