The worst experience for a teenager alone!!!

The worst hotel in Sofia!
Aggressive front desk staff towards an 18 year old travelling alone (the manager covers this kind of behaviour). They put the child out of the house because his booking via booking.com has a "pending" status because of a Paypal payment (verification of the transaction to the platform ) is still not active.Dishonest offer to pay in cash!
This hotel is to be avoided when you behave towards a child!

You get what you pay for, but one would think that it was possible to give a smile and good service if it is cheap. The Pool++

This is an affordable hotel and it is located a bit outside the city. Don't have too high expectations. The pool is superb, the room was large and good with good air conditioning and the beds were good. The restaurant is overpriced, the food is really no experience you will remember. Spend money on a taxi and drive into town. The rooms are worn, and it is felt as if the shower would soon fall apart. The sink is old and tired. I also always take a check under the beds to see how it is cleaned, found petty things from previous visits (playing among other things).
The service was very poor at first, and it costs no one to provide a little good service. We arrived two hours before check-in, but we were not allowed to use the pool area and they did not check if there was anything available (which was because there were few people who stayed there). I got one key card on split by three, asked for one more and got it very reluctant. So we needed towels, got too few, and they didn't believe in us and had to check in before we could get more. Guess if I made myself ask for more toilet paper when we run out of it, we got a half-used roll. Two babysitters who worked there made up the impression towards the end of the stay, they were very helpful.

We booked that hotel as we had a super early flight back to the U.K. the next day. The location is perfect with the petrol station next to the hotel to refuel the car, free car park and 10mins drive to return the vehicle at the airport terminal before check-in with Wizzair. So We literally only stayed there less than 10hrs.
The room was a bit (a lot) dated but big. The bed was a super king size and very comfy. The bit we found sooooooo weird was the bathroom. It’s the first time in our lives we had a shower without curtains 😅 we tried to be super careful when we took our showers but not easy not to turn the bathroom into a pool 😅 Good thing we only stayed one night.
The reception was very nice and offered us a packed breakfast because we couldn’t have it due to our early flight. It was nice to try some of the local pastries.
Overall not a bad experience for just a few hours before returning home.

Bad hotel

We have stayed at this hotel many times but this time is was not good then reception staff was very unfriendly the rooms was dirty and smelt of smoke outside the window ledge was full of cigarettes and it's a non smoking hotel the toilet needs a good clean ,the pool was shut even though it was open the same time last year, when we checked out the staff did not smile or say anything just took the key card
