Lovely, clean hotel with friendly staff and management in Split
We stayed at Hotel Consul in a 3-bed suite/room. The room was spacious and clean. Surprisingly unlike bathrooms in European hotels, the shower had a door and was quite clean.
Breakfast was a decent spread - bread, pastries, fruits, a coffee machine, yogurt, eggs (they also make it to order), juices and cold cuts.
The hotel does not have elevators, but the staff carry the bags to your floor and are very helpful and friendly. The sisters and mom who run the hotel are very friendly and considerate. We had booked a day-trip and had to leave early on one of the days. Knowing that we might not be able to have breakfast at the hotel on that day, they packed us sandwich, yogurt, apple and a drink. Very thoughtful. The family does a fabulous job of extending hospitality and make you feel welcome.
The hotel is located not too far from the Palace area and the Riva - about 15 minute walk and quite convenient. There are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Split.

Good option for able bodies and parking available.
Huge room, nice bathroom but no elevator and a lot of steps. Employees were helpful and carried our luggage, not a good option for people with mobility issues.
There was a wedding on the arrival date, thus we were forced to look for another restaurant since the hotel restaurant was not available. Breakfast is good and a lot of options.

Excellent stay
A very pleasant three-star hotel with an excellent location. The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet. The staff were truly amazing – welcoming, very friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended.
