A magical and welcoming place in Cuenca
Hotel La Victoria was a wonderful experience. Its design perfectly blends colonial style with contemporary touches, creating a welcoming and magical atmosphere. The staff was very helpful. In addition, the rooms are spacious, beautiful and impeccably clean. I was lucky enough to stay in one with a spectacular view. It has all the services and exceeded all my expectations. Recommended!

Extremely disappointing experience.
During my stay, I stepped into the shower and immediately realized the floor was still covered in fresh paint. My feet ended up completely stained because the area had clearly not dried properly, despite the hotel later admitting it had been painted recently. This is not just inconvenient, it’s a basic safety and quality control failure.
To make things worse, I was charged $20 for an airport transfer of only 3.3 km because I trusted the hotel’s pricing. The next day, staff themselves admitted the standard price was actually $15 and could not explain why I had been overcharged in the first place. While they later adjusted the return trip, the whole situation felt dishonest and poorly managed.
I contacted the hotel directly first to give them the opportunity to respond professionally and resolve the situation privately, but I never received any response.
Overall, the experience was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and far below the level of service I expected. I cannot recommend this hotel based on how these issues were handled.

Loud neighbours
Even though the hotel is nice, look for a quiet place elsewhere. I was given a room at the back, but there was a loud party in the neighboring garden in the night.

Charm and courtesy
Already entering from the parking lot the lush garden and the well-kept, cozy and tasteful common peers presage the best, entering the room that has a glass wall on the green that flanks the Tomabamba the pleasure increases. Breakfast is excellent, for food and environment. The service is very kind and efficient. The location in the historic center a few steps from the main square is perfect.

Very good location.
Hotel Victoria is a charming hotel located in the heart of the historic centre of Cuenca, on Calle Larga pedestrian street, close to the Tomebamba River. I stayed there and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very well located, you can do everything on foot from there, which is really convenient. It has a private parking (to be reached from the back of the building), which is a real plus in town. Welcoming is warm and pleasant. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with a nice terrace overlooking the back of the building, so the “new town”. In summary, a very good hotel that I recommend without hesitation.
