August 2026 stay
We had an amazing time at Chateau de la Ballue. The grounds are breathtaking, the chateau fills like you entered a fairy tail and pool is a great addition to already perfect stay. We enjoyed two days at the chateau and met its wonderful owners.
We would love to come back and recommend this place when exploring Normandy .

Unforgettable family stay!
We spent a week as a family at the Chateau de la Ballue and it has been an unforgettable experience. Totally recommended and we thank the Mathiot-Mathon family for the treatment received. We also congratulate them on the maintenance and service they provide. The gardens are unique and are very visited!

This was the best place I have ever stayed
This was the best place I have ever stayed. The house is absolutely stunning, with incredible design and attention to every detail. I wanted to take photos of every single corner. The beds were wonderfully soft and comfortable, and the beautiful fragrance from the diffusers made the whole house feel even more special.
The hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfasts were simply amazing—absolutely delicious! The gardens are breathtaking and so peaceful.
I honestly wished I could stay and live in this beautiful home forever. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

Enchanted interlude
Magnificent enchanted interlude in a unique historical and botanical setting.
The rooms and areas of the castle are magnificent, with a pursuit of harmony that is evident in every detail, between armchairs, drapes, tapestries, furniture... and which closely reconstructs the history of the castle...
The gardens are magnificent: harmony, tranquility, serenity, poetry, scents... a big shout out to the "artists" who designed it and to those who maintain it and take such great care of it... (for our greatest pleasure).
A big thank you to Mrs. Mathiot-Mathon for her welcome and especially for her "investment" in this place...
