Very basic hotel. I would not recommend the room I stayed to couples. However, as a solo traveler staying a couple of nights, it was more than enough. Coin-operated coffee machine at reception was good. Staff was very good, and friendly, they are the greatest asset of the hotel. I would stay again.

Cheap & Clean in a good location near Hackescher Markt
I went to the 2. Mal in the easy Hotel Hackescher Markt and I stayed two nights. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the Rosenthaler Platz tram and underground station and the S-Bahn at Hackescher Markt is about 10 minutes away. Top location with many restaurants, cafes, shops and fast food nearby. There's an Edeka and Rossmann down the road. The rooms are mega small but mine was clean. The bed was very comfortable.Left and right but it is only 15cm each to the wall. Unfortunately, there is no place to deposit the suitcase open on the floor. A large suitcase doesn't fit under the bed when closed. There's some coat hooks on the wall.
Electrical outlets are in short supply, a hairdryer can be borrowed at the reception for a deposit of € 10,-. The sink is very small, the water splashes out. Despite fair the hotel was very cheap with € 138,- for 2 nights and I knew what to expect.
So it was ok, especially since I was out all day anyway. My invoice with changed address was ready at checkout. Top! For two, I would choose another hotel, as the Zimner with an estimated 8 sqm simply offers too little space.

Good Centeal Berlin Hotel
It is a fab spot very central and a good base to go do most things! However, we went during a heatwave (40 degrees) so the room was hot. They gave us a fan and it was managable during the night but there is no aircon. But it is a good little room and is very clean and bed was big and comfy. Note that the shower/toilet is not very private but it was okay. Would reccomend just maybe not in a heatwave if you are bad in the heat.

Good stay
The strongest points of this hotel are its location and helpful staff. It is a good value-for-money hotel without significant ups or downs. Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning during this heatwave was very painful.
However, if you are on a budget travel holiday, that is the spot.

Judgment in chiaroscuro.
Certainly, the low price is enticing, but the minimalist rooms are at the limit of livability; in the room, declared as double and which also includes the bathroom/shower separated from the rest of the room - entirely occupied by the bed - by a glass wall, to move around, one must synchronize movements! Cleaning is done upon request, for a fee. But there are also positive aspects: the central location, the friendly reception staff, the luggage storage... in short, for a short vacation, it can be an optimal solution.
