Nice small hotel. Clean and very quiet. Our view was awesome. Quaint little place.

After staying here for many years we were not advised there was no longer a restaurant in the hotel so had to find one at very short notice. There are still references to the non existing restaurant at the hotel so was a real shock and inconvenient as this is a major reason why we select hotels that a restaurant within them. We feel we should have been advised when we booked our stay and wec.f. would have found a different one with a restaurant.

They hotel was fine, however my credit card didn’t go through and they called my boyfriend’s cousin to tell him instead of calling me.

Disappointing
First impression...... The Receptionist was totally unwelcoming and appeared disinterested. Absorbed in what appeared to be a personal phone call.... I was reminded of the scene with Steve Martin at the car rental desk in the film "Planes, Trains and Automobiles." We were handed the key, but not given any clue as to where the room was.
THERE WAS A PRINTED FRAMED SIGN (Indicating it is not a short term problem) ADVISING THAT THE INTERNET WAS CURRENTLY OUT OF ORDER. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE.
The town is rundown and semi derelict.
The fridge in the room was on, but nothing inside was cold, in fact it was all exceptionally warm. Clearly it is broken.
No tea and coffee making facilities.
Outlook into an industrial estate.
Kept awake by someone snoring in the adjacent room. The walls are only plasterboard.
There was about 2" of snow during the night. There was no disabled parking so we had to park in the rear carpark down a ramp at the side of the hotel. There was no attempt by the hotel to clear this, consequently it was a difficult and prolonged affair getting out of the carpark.
Would I stay here again, DEFINITELY NOT, I'd carry on driving, and I'd advise others to do the same.
Having said all that, the hotel was busy, carpark full, so perhaps this suggests that our experience was a "one off."

value for money !
We spent just one night arriving from Holland and back to Italy. They own both an hotel and a garni, at a very close distance. We do not know if because they were full or because they were empty, anyway we booked the Garni and we have been offered the hotel. The 4 star Hotel EPPELBRONER HOF, Rathausstraße 1-3, 66571 Eppelborn . THANKS ! what we saw of the garni was in any case nice. The Hotel is very good and obviously we talk about it. Extremely clean, wide rooms with toilet separate from the bathroom (shower), which is very large. Breakfast and parking are apparently always included and breakfast is abundant and very clean.
only two remarks, for a 4 stars hotel : Reception is not always attended and the TV channels which were all German.
