Wonderful dining

Great food in a beautiful place. Great price-quality ratio. Excellent wines. Excellent dishes. Classic cuisine but also nice culinary surprises. A bit out of place but definitely worth the drive here, especially for the great surroundings.

Mixed feelings-Hotel no-go — Restaurant good

We were invited, the menu was set and was very tasty... the service was not unfriendly, but warm is something completely different.
Everything was fine so far... until we got to our room... if you are allergic to mold you should avoid the hotel... we didn't have any tablets with us and so we could hardly sleep.

Family hotel in the middle of nature

Nice rooms with basic furnishings. Clean. Dogs on request, but not a problem. The service and especially the food are great. Well suited for family celebrations. Access is via narrow back roads, but should not be a problem for the average driver.

1A recommendation. Celebrate like a paradise!

The Watzenhof is conveniently located near the nearest motorway (10 minutes), but is a paradise in the countryside. Our room was spacious and completely fine in every respect. From the really comfortable bed to the large shelves and the newly designed bathroom. Maybe 2 or 3 more hooks in the bathroom and it would be perfect.
Our family celebration was wonderfully looked after by the really friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast the next day was comfortable and good. The hotel is set up for dogs, but they were both quiet and not a nuisance.

really very good

We were over on business and chose this as it looked to be in a quiet location. The hotel is pitched as being mid range but it is actually much better than that.
The interior of the building is very attractive and the room I had was spacious with a view of fields and woodland.
Breakfast was good with a wide selection of items to keep you going for the day.
We got back late afternoon on the first day and decided that we would eat in.
The restaurant was a real revelation with ambience, menu selection, service, presentation and quality of food being absolutely faultless. I have to say this well above anything we had expected and consequently looked forward to having another meal there the following evening. Again it was superb.
So would we come back, defiantly
