friendly, warm welcome

Breakfast TOP!!!
We had room category M - if necessary I would take a bigger next time, but the room was neat, clean and nicely decorated.
In winter, the balcony is rather incidental ;-) just like the rooftop bar - but both seemed to give the impression that you can spend wonderful hours there in summer.

You should skip breakfast and have breakfast away
We stayed at the New Wave over the Easter period and were guests of the house for the first time.
The small reception is staffed by only one person and immediately welcomes all guests with a friendly
YOU. It's so common in the house.
Our room is bright and friendly and everything is clean. However, the sun loungers on the terrace are clearly outdated and look worn out.
The cleaning staff unfortunately overlooks the dirty coffee cups in the room, so in our opinion there is still air up here.
Breakfast is fine. However, to say the least, we find it impossible that the second hot drink is chargeable at a breakfast price of 24.50€ per Pax. Despite the very friendly service staff, you already feel ripped off.
The rooftop bar we cannot judge because it was closed during our stay.

Highly recommended
Very welcoming house; ambience, reception, staff.
The room was very pleasantly large and the style of decor refreshingly different. For me very important the shower: even water jet, temperature immediately and constantly there, by the way beautiful blue tiles in walk-in shower. The house has rooms with open and closed bathroom. Should be asked beforehand if necessary. Separate toilet very pleasant. Everything very clean, buffet great. Norderney is expensive, you have to know that. However, I have had accommodation in the neighborhood over the past year that cost the same, but can't keep up with the New Wave in any way. In the house there is a restaurant and yet I was offered cutlery for my brought portion of kale. That was by the way from the restaurant Ennen right next door, also highly recommended house.

Welcome to the Far North
The hotel is located between the beach and downtown. Both are easily accessible in just under 5 minutes on foot. An unexpectedly good room amenities for the room rate with a large terrace facing the street allows for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet “raked” in some places in terms of presentation, replenishment and composition. The hotel team was Nordic cool to charmingly warm towards the guests, but always responsive and striving.

Unverschämter Umgang mit Gästen
Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie im New Wave, zu einem ganz besonderen Anlass.
Vorab, das Hotel ist schön und gut gelegen, die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und sauber.
Beim Einchecken haben wir dann um eine Tischreservierung zum Frühstück, für den Tag des besonderen Anlasses gebeten. Wir hätten gerne einen schön, etwas festlich gedeckten Tisch reserviert, auf dem schon eine Flasche Sekt steht usw.
Eine Reservierung und ein schön gedeckter Tisch war absolut nicht möglich zu bekommen. Obwohl wir mehrmals freundlich nachgefragt haben, wurden wir pampig abgewiesen. Wir sollten halt rechtzeitig beim Frühstück sein und gucken wie wir das regeln.
Wir waren absolut entsetzt über so ein unfreundliches und unverschämtes Verhalten. Dem Hotel war bei der Reservierung der besondere Anlass schon bekannt. Es wurde auch nicht gratuliert, es stand keine kleine Aufmerksamkeit etc. auf dem Zimmer, es gab keine Flasche Champus aufs Haus… Und das bei einem knapp fünfstelligen Rechnungsbetrag. Der Service, die Freundlichkeit, die Flexibilität in diesem Hotel ist eine glatte 6!!!! Wir kommen NIE wieder!!!
