This family-run hotel stands on the marketplace in Roding, surrounded by the countryside of the Upper Bavarian Forest.

Very nice hotel
We stayed twice at this hotel. Family room good size for four and very clean. Nice complementary shower/shampoogel. Owners helpfull. Restaurant food is serving bavarian traditional food. Breakfast very tasty. When checking out owner gave us a lovely homemade gingerbread. Kids loved it.

Clean but average - base
The hotel is in a good location. It is very clean and the staff very friendly. Due to the basic equipment and the basic breakfast buffet (partially packed) I can not give a better review. Sure, the price is reasonable but the rating slightly distorted compared to other, equally rated hotels

Its fine and certainly well located, but very basic. Sheets pretty rough and the towel had been left in a washer too long. Very musty smelling. Be warned, hotel is right under bell tower and you do hear it throughout the night if window is open.

Unbelievably bad!
Unfortunately, the owner at the reception was very unfriendly and insulting to me (I should be quiet).
But I had a bathroom with the heating turned off and lots of mold. There was also a very unpleasant smell.

Cosy Stay in a Great Gasthof
Stayed one night in this cosy little guest house. We were on our way back from Cz and needed a stop before heading on to Luxembourg. We stayed in a four person room (family) room and the room was very spacious. It was complete with a four poster bed. The view from our room was nice and overlooked a small square with glimpses of the river fronting the city.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was EXCELLENT. Typical hardy and tasty Bavarian dishes complete and washed down with Bavarian Beer.
Beds, WIFI and bathroom were all very good.
Probably will not be back this way, but if we were, we would stop and stay again.
Their is very little to do in the town, so would suggest that you only need a half hour or hour to see all that it has to offer. This is the only downfall with the location but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
