Exceeded our expectations
We stayed here as a group of 8, including our 4-year-old daughter, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
We had a very early flight from Munich to Corfu (5:50 AM) and arrived at the resort around 10:00 AM. After traveling in the summer heat, we were completely exhausted. Even though it was before check-in time, the staff kindly invited us to use the pool while we waited and let us check into our rooms as soon as they were were ready. We really appreciated this thoughtful gesture.
The rooms are modern, clean, well-equipped, and fully air-conditioned, which was a lifesaver during the hot weather. We booked two pool-facing rooms—one with a bathtub and the other with a shower—and both were excellent.
Every morning we headed out to explore Corfu and returned in the evening feeling tired after a full day of sightseeing. What impressed us the most was the housekeeping. Every single day, our rooms were cleaned so thoroughly that they felt like we had just checked in for the first time.
The pool area was fantastic. There is a shallow, protected pool for children and a deeper pool for adults, making it perfect for families. There were also plenty of swimming rings available for children who were still learning to swim, which our daughter really enjoyed.
The food was delicious. We especially loved the homemade burgers and the Caesar salad. For breakfast, the fresh fruit with yogurt and honey, as well as the fruit salad, became my favorite way to start the day, and our daughter loved them too.
One of the sweetest touches was being allowed to pet the family’s friendly dogs, books and playing corner with a lot of toys which made our daughter very happy.
The location is excellent. It’s close to the center, making it easy to visit different beaches and explore Corfu Old Town. There is also a large parking area right next to the resort, which was a huge advantage since we had rental cars. You can easily walk to the large shopping center and Gouvia Beach in just 5–10 minutes.
Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations. The warm hospitality, spotless rooms, great facilities, delicious food, and convenient location made our family holiday truly memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Corfu.

Great stay and restaurant
Had a lovely few nights at this hotel. Great location and amazing food/ drinks. Really nice facilities with lots of places to relax and unwind. I will definitely come back. The Mathraki wine is also very nice, highly recommend.

Perfect stay
Very beautiful location close to the center of Gouvia, attentive and helpful staff. The family that runs it, Georgios, Maria, and their children, are always present and ready to help you! A special thanks to Giorgio for the tips on the beaches and to Nikos for the always active help!

Like Family and the place is beautiful!!
Wonderful place and a wonderful family i think this was the fifth maybe six time we came came back the rooms the beds the area everything is perfect food is great and from the start till end everything is taken off coming back for sure next year!! Don’t read further just book here 100% worth it!!

Fantastic Mathraki
My wife and I have just had a 2 week stay at the Mathraki Resort owned and run brilliantly by George & Maria Argyros who are very ably assisted by their 2 sons Nikon & Dimitris.
It’s the friendliest and most relaxed place we’ve ever stayed in (due to the personalities of the family and staff) who maintain the whole resort and garden areas immaculately.
It’s only a 15 minute short walk to the town centre where you’ll find plenty of tavernas, bars, shops and beach.
We would certainly have no hesitation in returning to Mathraki.
