Beautiful Experience, Fantastic Value
When I went to Tazenakht in May, I wondered where we could possibly stay. I'd been before and knew there was one clean, very basic hotel in the center of town, but that's all. My friend found this place online and rented it, and we had a wonderful stay.
It's outside town, so you need a car to get there. It's in a village or suburb, and right across from a partially ruined ksar or large adobe dwelling, which makes it a very scenic setting.
The hotel or riad itself is of new construction with modern rooms and baths, and is very clean and quiet. I think there are six double rooms. The rooms are furnished with rugs woven nearby in a workshop in the ksar that you can visit [and shop at].
It is run by two sisters who are very gracious and great cooks. We asked for whatever we wanted for dinner - and they made it. Breakfasts were large, with eggs, pastry and pancakes or something similar, plus tea or coffee.
I've led tours in Morocco for over twenty years, and this is unique as a very comfortable, scenic and affordable place to stay and experience a feeling of rural Morocco and its hospitality.

Very good value for money, rooms new and clean
lovely hostess who cooked us a delicious dinner.
Rooms are very clean with air conditioning
Equipped. Private bathroom small.
