Excellent riad
We noticed a negative review about this riad after booking but before our arrival, and at the time it made us a little hesitant. In the end, we are very glad we went ahead, because our experience was completely different from what was described there. It seems that either the review did not reflect the property accurately, or that guest had an unusually unfortunate stay.
This riad was absolutely excellent. Aziz was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We travelled with two children and, as it was our first time in Morocco, we didn’t quite know what to expect. In the end, our concerns were completely unfounded. The room was spacious, with two single beds and one queen-sized bed. This wasn’t entirely clear from the description, but it worked perfectly for our needs.
The breakfast was simple but very good, and more than enough to keep us going through the first part of the day. We also arranged an airport transfer through the riad, and the driver was waiting for us in the arrivals area, which made everything very easy.
The location is ideal—within walking distance of the medina, yet far enough from the busiest areas to enjoy some peace and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable throughout our stay.
I would definitely recommend this riad and hope to return in the future.

Breakfast was only served from 8:30 am-10:30am, so I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast everyday, because my tours were booked and pick up time was 8 am. Rooms were clean although they were small, wifi was available. Close to Kasbah you can walk, but it’s not safe in the night if you’re alone.

Very disappointing stay
We had a very unpleasant experience at this riad. From the first day, we felt constantly watched by the staff, with no privacy at all. The owner spoke loudly and rudely to us, and the overall atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable.
The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was poor, with little choice and low quality, and one of the women serving was clearly sick, coughing and sneezing — we both got ill afterwards. There was also a strong smell of hashish inside the riad, which was very unpleasant.
There was constant traffic noise, making it impossible to rest. On the day we left, no staff were present in the morning, so we couldn’t even have breakfast (it only starts after 8:30 a.m.).
The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. Overall, a very bad experience — we will never come back.
