i really liked this hostel.

i stayed here for a couple months around dec 2019-jan 2020, and it was really nice and clean and light and good value and i liked the staff and made friends, and location is very convenient to beach, city center, etc.
i would enjoy to stay again.

Do not book there

Doesn't correspond at all to the pictures. Everything very dirty and the plaster crumbles directly onto the beds. The owner regularly deletes the bad reviews. We didn't get our money back. Definitely avoid!!

I don't recommend it even with extra visitors

Everything was bad, they left us waiting outside the reception, dirty sheets, people snoring like a truck, only 1 toilet in the entire Hostel, dirty sheets.
There were even cockroaches.

Thief owner and very greedy, party staff

The staff (unpaid volunteers) organised parties at night (out of hours of silence -10pm) in the small terrace (the only place without cameras then) when the owner was not in. When approached they apologised, so I assumed it would not happen. During last night of my/our stay - one of the staff Ainhoa (left alone in the hostel as the other volunteers went camping) brought at night some strangers in (unregistered people!) and had a drunk and laud party (it was breach of health and safety regulations!!!). When approached and asked several times for silence , she screamed and shouted that she works for free and has the right to relax this way and have some friends in (it was around 3 am at night). In the morning she could not find the keys to the reception (so the checkout was not done and no deposit for the keys returned), she could not find the keys to the kitchen (no food was taken by us) in spite of our morning checkout agreement made one day before (when she was still sober). I called the manager Pilar (no response), she contacted me only when I was at the airport. Later she apologised (in the e-mail) , however, no money for the ruined last night and for disrespectful behaviour of her drunk staff was given back (what should have been done!), no deposit was return for the keys and no money for the postage was returned (the keys were sent back upon written promise that the deposit and postage would be paid back). Shame on the greedy and dishonest owner and drunk staff. This is simply stealing money. No customer care! No customer service! The room next to the staff area should not be rented if the security, safety and comfort (in the hours of silence) are not respected. Greedy owner/ thief! Party staff. The staff is volunteers so they do not care... No money, no service, no respect.

easy and nice

if it wasn't for the dormitory that was a bit crowded and not high enough I would have give 5 stars.
Well maintained and clean. All in all a nice and safe place, close to the surfer beach with nice people always ready to help and make you feel at home.
