Hostal Anas is situated on Reina Sofia Avenue, less than 100 metres from the city’s Monumental area. It offers basic, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, 5 minutes’ walk from the Romanic Casa del Mitreo.

Right hostel for your price for a Merida getaway
The hostel is old but well maintained and clean
Very friendly reception staff
You can easily park in the area and walking to the center there are about 15 minutes
Below the hostel there are several bars that are very good for a drink
The room is very spacious
One of the beds creaks a lot. The perfect mattresses hard and comfortable
The pillows a little soft
Lighting in the right room
Very small television
The right bathroom neither old nor modern, there is in the middle
The perfect shower, pressure and temperature very well
Dismal mirror lighting
A good value hostel for a day trip to Merida

Very good service and excellent quality price
Inn near the center, clean and excellent staff. The receptionist gave us a very close treatment with multiple recommendations adapted to our trip. I would only put a but is that the bathroom needs a small reform but room a 10 to be an Inn, with air conditioning and comfortable beds. I recommend it

Very friendly and attentive. I recommend it 100%
Highly recommended, the receptionist was super attentive, friendly and kind, he helped us at all times and the room was very clean. It is very well located, close to monuments and restaurants. We will return for sure!

Sufficient for short stay
For 1-night stay it was good. We had enough place for our luggage, Shower was good. Friendly staff. Location - walking distance to almost all historic sites of Merida (we drove the car to the acqueducts). Breakfast is available at restaurant next door. Quite easy and free parking at the street. Happy with the price.
Disadvantages:
- matress was too soft for me.
- decor of the room was practically non-existent.
- small bathroom that gets wet easily.
- room facing the Avenida Reina Sofia was bit noisy due to traffic (but generally bearable).

Not more than average
My partner and I stayed at Hostal Las Anas for two nights. The whole place was booked out by our wedding party and we probably had the smallest room they have. Other rooms are much more spacious and brighter.
The room we were given was so small that we had to put the desk and chair into the wardrobe, push the two single beds together and move the bedside table to be able to open our suitcase!!
The beds were quite hard and I woke up with some back pain after the first night.
The bathroom was spacious, the shower could do with a bit more pressure and the water didn't drain properly.
The lift is VERY slow but of course, you can take the stairs as there are only three floors.
For breakfast we were given a voucher to use in the café next door which included a cup of coffee, a small glass of freshly pressed orange juice and a toasted slice of bread with a topping to choose.
The staff is very friendly and doesn't mind helping out or advising about what do see and do in Merida.
All in all, Hostal las Anas is budget accommodation if you don't require more than a bed. Breakfast was good and the staff is helpful.
