Being home to various cultural and historical landmarks that remained highly intact even after the destruction of wartime, Prague welcomes millions of tourists annually.

Some popular tourist spots in the city are:

Prague Castle: Dating back to the 9th century, this castle has been the place of residence of many generations of kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia. Interestingly, The Bohemian Crown Jewels are secretly kept within the building, in a room whose location is unknown to the public. This castle is recognised by Guinness as the largest ancient castle in the world.

Charles Bridge: A well-known bridge that crosses the Vltava River, this bridge poses much historical importance. It was constructed under the rule of King Charles IV since the 14th century. It is the connecting bridge between Prague Castle and the Old Town. The bridge is delicately decorated with 30 statues in baroque style.

Old Town Square: This is a historical landmark that features many buildings with exceptional architectures, among them the most famous is the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn. This is also home to Prague Orloj, the world’s most ancient medieval astronomical clock that is still functional.
